- Khuwa
- 2 tablespoons ghee
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon powdered green cardamom
- 1 handful pistachios
- Silver vark as required
- 1 handful almonds, pistachios
Steps
- First, grate or crumble the khuwa.
- Grease a bit of ghee on a tray or plate.
- Add the grated khuwa to a pan.
- Cook on a low flame for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring often.
- Add sugar and cook for about 8 to 9 minutes on a low flame.
- When the mixture becomes slightly thick, add dry fruits (almonds, pistachios) or your choice of dry fruits and cardamom powder.
- Once the khuwa barfi cools down, slice it into diamond or square shapes and add silver vark.
- Serve khuwa barfi immediately. You can also store them in an airtight box and refrigerate.
