  • Khuwa
  • 2 tablespoons ghee
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon powdered green cardamom
  • 1 handful pistachios
  • Silver vark as required
  • 1 handful almonds, pistachios

Steps

  • First, grate or crumble the khuwa.
  • Grease a bit of ghee on a tray or plate.
  • Add the grated khuwa to a pan.
  • Cook on a low flame for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring often.
  • Add sugar and cook for about 8 to 9 minutes on a low flame.
  • When the mixture becomes slightly thick, add dry fruits (almonds, pistachios) or your choice of dry fruits and cardamom powder.
  • Once the khuwa barfi cools down, slice it into diamond or square shapes and add silver vark.
  • Serve khuwa barfi immediately. You can also store them in an airtight box and refrigerate.
